Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from Dave Clinton. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.

Pedal Line Friday – 6/9 – Dave Clinton

Hey, I’m Dave Clinton! I’m from Rockford, IL but have been living in Manila, Philippines for 12 years where my family and I fight against human trafficking.

In my free time I play in a band called Barrio Radyo, together with some of the Philippines’ finest rock musicians. We play alt-country rock stuff; think Steve Earle, Drive By Truckers, Son Volt… This is my board, the “Harley”. It makes a lot of noise. The Harley goes through periodic tweaks, but this is the latest manifestation.

We’ve got a Polytune Mini Noir tuner, perfect. Next is a Rattlesnake buffer for my weak-pickup guitars and long cable gigs. I love Rattlesnake cables! Then I have an always-on Micro Amp clone made by my guitarist, Tim Cacho. My first drive is the Greer Southland, which is new to me and really great. I’ve got the Angry Charlie for nights when we throw around stuff like Social Distortion. I’m a tremolo junkie, and I’ve been through a whole bunch of fancy tremolos, but I always come back to the Pulsar. EHX makes the best pedals for the price, and the Pulsar does everything perfectly. Really easy to dial in. Of course, Carbon Copy delay (industry standard). Again, EHX Holy Grail big box reverb, which I only use for the spring reverb setting. Finally, I have an EHX LPB-1 for a lead boost. I stripped the paint off because I like silver pedals.

I play either a Les Paul traditional or a Partscaster Tele into a 1971 Bassman with a 2×12 cabinet. Patch cables are Mogami, with a couple of random Lavas. My long cables are Rattlesnakes.

That’s pretty much the size of it. Rock and roll, friends!
